DADA Events of February/March

On February 17th, at 1 pm in Room 330 of the Art Building at LSU, the Digital Art and Design Association held a workshop instructed by DADA President Kytana Le and Vice President Jabari Newton. Club members learned how to animate by hand in photoshop and flash.

On March 3rd, at 12 pm in Room 330 of the Art Building at LSU, the Digital Art and Design Association held a workshop instructed by Vincent Celluci from CxC on “Creating a Narrative”. Vincent  talked to our club members about creating good storylines and plots, what exactly a narrative arc is, and described the pipeline when creating a feature film.

After Effects Workshop

Two upperclassman members of DADA, Jessica Le and Emily Hargis, demonstrated the basic functions of Adobe After Effects for students at Louisiana State University. This workshop included a PDF with helpful information, and the opportunity to follow along with the demonstration. The workshop was held in Room 330 of the Art Building at 1 o’clock PM on Friday February 3rd.

Turbo Squid Workshop

On Thursday January 19th, Three Turbo Squid employees offered their time and expertise to our eager Digital Art students! Ben Bickle, Kate Voisin, and Bob Martin discussed their backgrounds and responsibilities as Turbo Squid employees, including modeling and critiquing.

All of these talks included valuable information helpful in the upcoming Global Game Jam (held at LSU) and the Digital Art and Design Association’s Animation Jam (March 31).
